About Kate Ali-McCaty and Katiebird Designs

Born and raised in upstate New York, family and close friends have always referred to me as Katiebird. I grew up around art and began making jewelry as gifts for my mom. I felt like I was putting in very little effort when it came to gift giving and I wanted to focus on making items that had time and love put into them. It started with simple beads on a string and evolved to almost every aspect of my pieces being crafted by my own two hands. There may be small imperfections in a piece but I have put a lot of time, effort and love into each and every one.

Katiebird Designs is my ultimate love project. The world has become a very cruel and cold place so why not try to bring little glimpses of happiness into the lives of others?
